Per ForTuNA – Training Pathways for Tourism in Nature and Art
It’s a project funded by the Italian Ministry of Tourism to develop managerial skills and create new job opportunities.
The lead partner is CAST (Advanced Centre for Tourism Studies) of the University of Bologna. Project partners are CSV Marche Ets, Federalberghi, Federparchi, Forum Terzo settore Marche, Libera Musica Aps and VoLontaRomagna – CSV della Romagna.
Launched in March 2026, it will run for two years.
The programme develops interdisciplinary professionals who combine management, cultural and artistic heritage, environment and technology, so they can respond flexibly to the challenges of the new tourism.
The pathway balances the enhancement of both tangible and intangible cultural heritage with the ability to adapt products and services to the “new” tourists. It gives a central role to the latest technological tools. It also makes it possible both to retrain people already working in the sector and to ease entry into the job market through extensive use of hands-on internships.
Per ForTuNA has four main goals:
- to train managerial figures in the tourism sector, building new skills or strengthening existing ones;
- to retrain tourism workers already in the job market;
- to widen employment opportunities and job supply in tourism across Italy;
- to raise the professional level of the sector through an effective system of specialisation and ongoing training.
